Once the bag is opened, the spawn must be used and applied to the substrate immediately.

You will receive ready colonized rye grain spawn for inoculation on various fruiting substrates, of your choice.

Your spawn is prepared fresh after ordering to maximize on quality. For this reason it may take between 10 to 14 days to produce.

Ideally the product should be used immediately after delivery, but, keep it stored in the fridge at 4° Celsius for a maximum of two months and it will still be viable - Respect the expiry date on the package.


HOW MUCH SPAWN TO BUY

The weight of your mushroom spawn ordered determines its intended use, so:

40g - This is enough to sample our strain only. You can use this option for a further grain-to-grain inoculation.

300g - Used to innoculate a sterilized/pasteurised block of 1.5 Kg

500g - For larger sterilized/pasteurized substrate innoculations of up to 2.5 Kg.

For Oyster varieties and the 300g / 500g options, we provide an online video giving a detailed step-by-step guide on how to grow your mushrooms


GROWING

For maximum results it is best that this mushroom is grown indoor within a hydroponics grow room/tent, but a clean area or dark corner where there is a decent amount of humidity, air exchange and constant temperatures could also be used.

A humidifier would help to monitor humidity. Do not put in direct sunlight and watch out for gnats.

SHIPPING
For peace of mind, we highly recommend that you include the tracking option in your shipping as it gives an ongoing update on your package. You can also check for yourself when the package has been actually sent. Although we always trive to be at your service, if you choose NOT to take the tracking option, then we cannot guarantee that the package arrives, as this is beyond our control and services. No requests for refunds or replacements will be accepted for packages without tracking.
