Lab produced, Belgian made, top quality, fresh, mycelium strains on sterilized rye grain berries in special sealed mushroom bags or in liquid culture.
CHARACTERISTICS
The Golden Enoki, often seen as golden sprouts emerging from the trunks of broadleaf trees during colder seasons, is naturally at home in woodland areas.
While its preferred environment consists of decaying wood and nutrient-rich soils, this mushroom's adaptability makes it an excellent choice for home-based mushroom farming.
GRAIN CULTURES
Once the bag is opened, the spawn must be used and applied to the substrate immediately.
You will receive ready colonized rye grain spawn for inoculation on various fruiting substrates, of your choice. This mushroom can easily be cultivated on traditional sawdust substrate, but this substrate does not smell nice.
Your spawn is prepared fresh after ordering to maximize on quality. For this reason it may take between 10 to 14 days to produce.
Ideally the product should be used immediately after delivery, but, keep it stored in the fridge at 4° Celsius for as per the expiry date given and it will still be viable.
LIQUID CULTURES
Our liquid culture syringe is packed with high-quality, viable mycelium of Flammulina velutipes, ready to inoculate a wide array of substrates.
For best results, store this culture in a cool, dark place until you are ready to use it.
EDIBILITY
The golden enoki is not only an eye-catcher but a palate pleaser.
While a culinary favorite in many Asian dishes. it is often cultivated for its aesthetic appeal. Sautéed, boiled, or tossed in a salad, the golden enoki adds a delicate, unique flavor to dishes.
