Mycological Peptone

Mycological Peptone is a mixture of animal and plant nutrients required for encouraging and enhancing better growth of fungi, yeasts and moulds. It is light yellow in colour.

Peptone supports abundant growth with typical morphology and pigmentation in culture media. It can be used as a main nitrogen source in a wide variety of culture media as well as in research and development.

Your liquid cultures will grow at a much higher and robust speed when strengthening your mycelium with this protein nutrient. 

We provide a sample version for 5g, and another for 30g.

Add 0.3 to 0.5% to your liquid cultures or agar preparation to strengthen your mycelium.

Keep properly sealed and protected from light.
